1 Stephen King to Release another Dim Tower Novel

With the Dim Tower getting renewwed interest in are a Feature Film and TV series combination format to inform the epic tale, Stephen Full has been itching to return to Mid-World, and possesses announced that he will be creating another Dark Tower book.

Forces of Geek estimates King’s informal release:

Expensive Constant Readers,

At some point, although worrying over the copyedited manuscript of the subsequent book (11/22/63, out November 5th), I started thinking—and dreaming—about Mid-World again. The major tale of Roland and his ka-tet was advised, but I realized there was at least one hole in the narrative development: what happened to Roland, Jake, Eddie, Susannah, along with Oy between the time they leave the Emerald City (the final of Wizard and Cup) and the time we pick them up again, on the outskirts of Calla Bryn Sturgis (the beginning of Wolves of the Calla)?

There were a storm, I decided. One of sudden and vicious intensity. What type to which billy-bumblers like Oy are specially susceptible. Little by little, a story did start to take shape. I observed a line of riders, one of these Roland’s old mate, Jamie DeCurry, emerging from clouds of alkali dust thrown by a high wind. I saw a severed directly a fencepost. I saw the swamp full of dangers and risks. I saw just enough to wish to see the rest. Long tale short, I went back to visit an-tet with my friends for a short time. The result is a novel referred to as the Wind Through the Keyhole. It’s finished, and I expect it will be published the coming year.

It won’t tell you much that’s brand-new about Roland and his friends, but there’s a lot none of us realized about Mid-World, both past along with present. The novel can be shorter than DT 2-7, but quite a bit longer than the first volume—call that one DT-4.5. It’s not going to change anybody’s life, but God, I had fun.

I have no problem which has a writer returning to his properties to fill in untold tales. That is their right. I just speculate how this Dark Tower 4.5 will modify the proposed miniseries/feature films franchise? Could it be included? It would certainly be in time.
